Biography

Charley Frank “Chris” Christensen died Sunday after a long illness. Born in Wisconsin in 1920, he was a longtime resident of St. Augustine and Crestview, FL and he served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Navy, including active duty in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was employed as a machinist at Fairchild Industries, both in St. Augustine and in Crestview.

He is survived by two sons, Rodney Christensen, of St. Augustine, FL, and Rick Christensen of Fayetteville, AK, as well as one brother, Stanley, of Beloit, WI, and two sisters, Mrs. Luella Bauder and Mrs. Frieda Kramer, of Roscoe, IL. He is also survived by his stepchildren, numerous grand- and great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Haven Hospice, the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Red Cross.
